How to know it’s your Inner Voice You’re Hearing
One of the things that always puzzled me when told to listen to my inner voice is, how do I know that it’s actually my inner voice I’m listening to and not my ego? I asked this question to my past therapist during one of my sessions. Guess what. She didn’t have the answer.
Seven months ago, during my morning chanting practice, I heard my inner voice tell me t find my book, “A Course In Miracles”. The challenge was, I didn’t know where is was located among the 1,000 of books I have stored in the fifty-plus, Greenmade, 12 and 27 gallon storage totes in my small, studio apartment.
Eventually, I found it. I began reading the first chapter that very morning. This was the beginning of my spiritual journey and developing the practice of listening to my inner voice.
Asking for Proof from Spiritual Guides
Yesterday was a confirmation of proof from my spiritual guides. While I don’t know their names yet, I do listen to them and follow their instructions or “nudges”. In my blog post, “Proof that Spiritual Guides Exist“, wanted to document the process of proving that the inner voice I was listening to was actually my spiritual guides. A string of events happened that lead me to my first channeling session which I wrote in yesterday’s blog post before my channeling session. After my channeling session, I was convinced that the spirit world exist. There is a knowing. But the real confirmation for me still hasn’t materialized. This leads me to what has to happen still.
My Actual Proof
I’ve asked my spiritual guides to provide actual proof in the form of YouTube subscribers. This is my form of confirmation that I’m actually listening to them and not my ego (I hope I’m not going insane). In exchange, they have asked me to continue to share on the internet my experience. I realize that 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours doesn’t happen over night. The universe wants us to be co-creators of our reality. It is unrealistic to think that I can not put wood in a furnace and expect to get heat from it, just as I can’t expect to get from Chicago to New York City without putting gas in my car (if I did have a car). Those two things are forms of energy (wood and gas). I’m also expected to produce energy to get what I want. And from that, are the reasons for these blog post.
