Launch New YouTube Series – Day 1 – January 18th, 2024
This morning, I woke up with a pure sense of purpose. Be not afraid to create. That is who you are. You are co-creator of your own reality. You are God. You might be thinking, “What does this have to do with getting 1,000 YouTube subscribers?” Stay with me as I connect the dots.
Idea to Test YouTube Growth Stratagies
Think about the scientist that is in the lab each day testing out new formulas. He make no apology to test out his ideas This is where new ideas are born. He has creative freedom. If I am a co-creator, why is there so much resistance to put my idea out there on YouTube? It was all in my own head. I had to take the idea to document the process of all the ideas and strategies to gain 1,000 YouTube subscribers and actually see if they work. Just like a scientist. This is the birth of my YouTube Series, Eric P. Martin’s Breakfast Bread Crumbs.
Using Keywords in Titles, Description, and Graphics In Thumbnail -Day 2
After watching several YouTube tutorials on how to reach 1,000 subscribers, I wanted to executive on several tips and compare them with my premiere episode. The three ideas were.
- Keywords in my title
- Using A.I to write my descriptions
- Using A.I. to generate title ideas
- Using graphics to create curiosity
- Using tags in the title
The next day, I reviewed the results and I was deflated. Each of the ideas didn’t move the needle. I received nine (9) views. This is the exact views I received on episode # 1.
All the time I spent that afternoon, planning, outlining the day’s content, brainstorming, and editing, only to get the same amount of views? Well, if no one is clicking on the video, it must be the thumbnails that need to be focused on first.
YouTube Thumbnails Should Be The Focus… Right? -Day 3
This morning, after spending most of the day, undecided on what type of content to post in my video series, I finally uploaded Day 3 after 7:00 p.m. So much for, Breakfast Bread Crumbs idea. I receive a total of six views for episode # 3 as of 11:52 a.m.
Did Taking A Graphic Design Course Help? – Day 4
I thought with a little bit of knowledge of graphic design, I could help improve my thumbnails. I spent most of the day going through the free course, taking notes. I applied an idea of using graphics and using the concept of focal point. The next day, the results were disappointing. I only received two views for that video.
Did Using A.I. for Thumbnail Help Increase Views? – Day 5
This morning, I woke up, after putting a lot of creative energy trying to improve my YouTube Thumbnail for episode #5. I was totally deflated this morning, when I looked at again, only receiving two views.
My thinking is that the problem lies in not only the thumbnails but the titles. As I am writing this, I went to check my stats. I received 1.4K impressions and I only received two views.
Compare this to Episode # 4 which received 108 impression and also received 2 views.
My plan today is to learn how to use Gimp to design thumbnails. I also don’t plan on being in my own videos anymore. The marketplace has spoken. I need to listen.
